How to Apply
So, you have already chosen your course(s) and decided to enrol? Following is the step by step process that you need to follow to apply for enrolment into your selected course
Application process steps:
You need to go through the course information from our courses page and develop a clear understanding of the course and decide yourself whether this course suits your purpose. You can also ask JHIT staff if you have any question regarding the course. While selecting your course, check whether you meet:
- Minimum Age Requirement (18 years)
- If there is any pre-requisite or other academic requirements for the course and whether you meet those.
- Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) requirements
You can submit your application by completing the online application form or download the application form then fill and submit to us by email to info@jabinhopkins.edu.au or in person. Alternatively you can collect the paper application form from our reception and submit the filled up application form there.
You will need to submit additional documents along with the application form, such as:
- Proof of address: Copy of Driver’s Licence, proof of age card or Passport. If you have provided copy of your passport, you will also need to provide a copy of a bank statement or utility bill issued within the last 6 months showing your current residential address.
- Proof of citizenship/residence status: Colour copy of either: current green Medicare card; Birth Certificate; current Australian passport; current New Zealand passport; or Australian citizenship certificate. If you are not an Australian/New Zealand citizen, you will need to provide a copy of your visa along with the copy of your passport.
- Previous qualifications: Copy of Certificates and Statement Results for any previously attained or partially completed qualifications.
You may also need to submit additional documents if you are applying for SA Government funding for your course fee. See the Domestic Application form for details.
Once we have received your application and all the required documents, we will assess your enrolment request based on the information you have provided. If you have applied for government subsidy, we will conduct a formal assessment of your eligibility for the subsidy, suitability for the qualification you are looking for and an upfront assessment of your need for the qualification you are looking for. We will notify you the outcome of your application once we have completed the assessment of your eligibility.
Please note that we will not be able to finalise your enrolment until we have received all required information through the completely filled up application form and the required supporting documents mentioned above.
This step is applicable if you have applied for government subsidy or concession for your course fee. We will invite you to participate in the assessment of your language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skill. After we conduct the assessment, if the outcome of the assessment is successful, we ask you to accept the ‘Participant Agreement – Collection and use of personal information’ by signing.
If your enrolment application is accepted, we will send you a welcome email to confirm you about your enrolment. You need to keep an eye on your inbox and spam folders for the welcome email. If you have not received the invitation, you need to contact JHIT for the update of your enrolment request. Your trainer will also contact you prior to course commencement to inform you about the beginning of the course and other instructions about the learning program.
